Pastor George’s Word from the Word 12/11/16

Galatians 5:13-14(NIV)

13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

Galatians 5:22-23(NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

The purpose of the law, indeed the purpose of our life as Christians is to live God’s way of life and love. As part of His ministry,  Jesus showed us that way of life in action. God’s nature is love, and through the spiritual fruits of  God the Holy Spirit living in us, we are to express that love to others.

In His love and service;

Pastor George
