God is so amazing! In Ephesians 3:16, He teaches that if we’re not focused spiritually, things won’t work right in our lives. Culturally, we are so focused on “doing” such as thinking of ways to solve our problems, that we lose sight of the fact that we need God’s power, wisdom and strength to deal with those thorny issues in our lives. To be strengthened in the inner man, we need to pray and ask for God’s help along with His equipping us to break free from what makes us so weary.
Want to eliminate weariness in your life? Go before God in prayer and be refreshed in your inner man and be empowered to act beyond your human limitations. God the Holy Spirit stands by to help, encourage teach and empower you. All you have to do is ask!
Encouraging Scripture: Ephesians 3:16
That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His spirit in the inner man.
Father God, thanks to You, Jesus and the Holy Spirit for always being there for me. Please continue to strengthen my weary heart so I can break free from my weariness to move on to be and do what You have for me to be and do. Grant me wisdom and spiritual discernment to recognize my limits and leave things to You when they are beyond me to deal with. Help me to take time away from my pressures so I can return refreshed and able to focus on what’s important for me to handle. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Things to Think, Pray and Journal About
1. When you get weary, do you pray and share what’s troubling you and ask God for His help and power to solve or deal with your problem like Jesus did?
2. Have you ever prayed like Jabez and asked God to greatly bless you and greatly expand your borders so you can do and be what He has for you to do and be?
3. Have you asked God to forgive your anger at Him for not giving you any relief from your weariness? Do you know why forgiveness can help you break free?
4. Have you shared with God in detail why you have been so angry at Him? Did you know it’s okay to do that, that He is here for you in your time of anger and need?
